Daphne is a small (system tray) application for killing and debugging processes.
Daphne is a task management program which provides you with advanced options to control running processes. Unlike Windows Task Manager, Daphne provides many advanced features and is not designed for novice users.
The interface of Daphne is what you would expect for such a program. It provides a list of running processes and many options to control them. Right clicking on a process provides a much longer list of functions than Windows Task Manager does; options include Kill, Kill Politely, Kill at..., Kill politely at..., Set Focus, Set On Top and of course priority management, among others.
One other feature worth mentioning is the "Look up in DRK" which is nothing more than a Google-powered search engine which looks for the process name on Google's web search. This feature can be useful when trying to identify malware or other unwanted processes.
The settings controls of Daphne can have Daphne start automatically when Windows does, includes proxy settings, visual appearance customization and log process start and end times.
Daphne is a good program to have if you wish to delve deeper into the processes of a Windows PC and you know enough to use it but novice Windows users and non-tech people should probably not tinker too much. And oh yes, Daphne resides in the system tray normally.
